First Hawk of the New Year

Not my first picture, that was an Acorn Woodpecker getting a drink, through the double pane glass door. I hadn't realized how dirty I let that door get. And my second was this hawk, but again through the glass. (out of glass cleaner so wiped with a rag, now less dirty) Then I slowly went over and slide the door partway open so I could aim the camera through the opening. This hawk is an expert at messing up photos. It Either turned its head so I got the back or would lunge forward so part of the head went out of the frame. For a while it was on the ground and also added hiding behind potted plants to the list of tricks. Just before it flew off it went up to the top of the roof on the swing set playhouse. And of course those are backlit and against the sky so bringing up the feather patterns produces noise in the pictures. I do like the "glow" of the lower feathers with the light coming through them.
80D, Canon 100-400L mk II + 1.4x III @ 560, 1/320 @ f/8.0, ISO 400 hand held with back light from right rear @ about 65'
