Beautiful shot!
How many photos did you stack, exposure settings, and at what time intervals?

Thank You for that kind comment. I used the Samyang 12mm F2 lens at F2.8, ISO:800, Shutter 8 secs with a 1 sec delay between shots. I think this is correct. The Fuji XT-1 doesn't recognize the Samyang manul lens as being on the camera so it doesn't store the shooting information. I shot for a couple of hours and ended up using about 650 images stacked in StarStax using the lighten mode. This was the first time using this lens and this camera.

I LOVE that lens, and use it on a Sony A6500. Got some nice night shots too! See this from Bryce Canyon. The large reddish "star" is Mars I think.

I am trying to learn this lens. Shooting totally manual including the lens is a bit foreign to me.

I usually set my camera to aperture priority, auto ISO and use zone focussing if using it for daylight shooting. If you set it at f8 or higher ALL will be in focus with the lens set near but not at the infinity mark.

Beautiful!
Did you much post-processing other than stacking to keep the star light in balance with the ground light?
I shoot startrails over Hendersonville, about 5 miles away, and it is difficult to get everything looking right.
Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for the kind comment. I had to do a lot of post processing work to get rid of those darn planes taking off and landing from the Nashville Airport. As far as the other light, I got lucky because their were streets lights behind me that provided some good light for the foreground. I have attached what the initial stack looked like before I layer masked all those plane trails out in Photoshop. If you are interested in shooting together sometime, send me a private message and we can exchange information.

no stacking. Shot raw and exported jpg from Apple Photos. Maybe some minor noise reduction but don’t think so.
