That, traderjohn, is a very interesting question. I believe that military cemeteries are on Federal/national/international property, and maintained by separate Federal funds....like the park service is. (I personally support the V.A., and support anything tied to honoring those who served....including death benefits, pensions, cemeteries, etc)
I believe that the "entertainment" organizations (drill teams, bands, choruses, flight groups, etc) maintained by our military branches, are a decision by that particular branch, and the cost to maintain/operate them comes from our active military budget $$. Seems like in these times when our Federal budget is spiraling out of control, there may be "fringe/frill" areas that could be looked at for cost savings???
Now, please let's not discuss whether the loss of U.S. lives, resulting in the need to maintain military cemeteries, is essential or non-essential.

Separate Federal Funds?? There is only one source of income. That is from the taxpayer. Well from the 45-47% who do pay taxes.
