You got me! It was my first time to see the event and I have no idea how it is scored. To me every rider looked like a winner since I have zilch knowledge of how to ride a horse.

The meet was held at the U. of South Carolina facility near Blythewood, SC. Here is the URL for the organization that operates the College Equestrian association and has a list of the competing colleges and universities.

Very nice. Just my thoughts and i am probably wrong but if you do this again position yourself a little to the left of the jump so the horse and rider are coming at you.
