A few years ago I went thru a drive in restaurant and was due 99 cents in change. I told the kid cashier to wait a minute cuz I had a penny. He gave me 99 cents anyway cuz he didn't know what I was talking about. I gave it all back to him and then gave him a penny and asked for a dollar back. He put all the change he gave me on the counter, along with my penny, and recounted it all before giving me the dollar. Don't know if that was due to education or age, but things have certainly changed.
