I keep a 50mm f1.8 on mine because it suits my style.

My new Sigma 24-70 f2.8 art series lens has been on my D750 consistently lately. The local ice art competitions are going on and it has been a fantastic lens for that. Actually ice art makes a great backdrop for portraits. My D810 has my Nikon 70-200 on it and ready to walk out the door with me as well.

My always ready to go grab camera in the go bag is the Pentax K1 (FF) with 24-70/2.8. In the go bag also contains a 70-200/2.8 and a Pentax K3 (cropped) with a 77/1.8. I can also quickly grab a monopod or tripod as needed.

I keep at least one camera (preset for most parameters) on a nearby shelf set to allow me to grab it and go quickly in case of an unexpected photo opportunity. Have mixed feelings about a zoom vs. just a 50mm (FF) or 35mm (Crop). What do you favor?

I keep the Nikon FX 24-120 F4G on my Nikon DX D500. It sits with a Nikon SB400 Flash mounted all the time for indoor grab shots. Outdoors I mostly take the flash off. The Nikon DX 16-80 2.8-4E sits in my bag.

Not sure you understood my comment. Look at your spelling of Tamron.

Funny, yes but we all know what he means. If he’s in a phone they sometimes don’t get the spelling quite right. But it would be something to see.

18-200mm VRII on my D7200.

Don

That’s what I keep on the on a hall shelf with a 50 1.8 next to it and a NIKON VESTRAP on the hall tree. Inside that I keep a flash and batteries, two stacks of filters and 3 extension tubes.

Within seconds I’m, at least minimally, set up for most anything.

One D7200 has a 16-80 f2.8-4 and the other has either the 80-400 or the 70-200 f2.8 depending what what on it when it was last used. If I don't need the extra reach the 16-80 quite sharp and is the go to lens for general purposes. For vacations those are my favorites and I carry a 1.4 tele just in case its needed for over 200mm. That eliminates an extra third lens. Often I'm concerned more with sharpness than reach I'm which case I'll grab the 24-70 f2.8.
