Thought I would take a couple of my images and work them into a composite.

Eagle with blank sky and an image of Alabama Hills, CA., landscape. Made three layers. Bottom was landscape. Layer 2 was the replicated eagle with exposure tuned to black and softened with low opacity for shadow effect. Top layer was masked eagle shot.

Kind of fun on Christmas day to explore some artzy stuff. Enjoy

Thanks. It was not the best comp, but it was a fun experiment for later attempts.

5-star quality. Great job and the composite of the images belong together.

I try to match the lighting on the layers so the final is more believable. Thanks for the kind words.

I think you did a good job. Masking and blending was well done with the exception of your Eagle shadow. I don't think it should be darker than the rock shadow and I think you can move it further toward the lower right hand corner. Try and soften the edges a bit too. I'm not trying to be to cridical, it is good, with just a bit more adjusting it will be a winner.

Your not being critical, I appreciate the viewpoint.
