This is a 2011 550 Boxster Spyder. Less than 2,000 were built. The original owner was Michael Levitas. He won the 24 Hours of Daytona, GT Class in 2006.
James Dean was killed driving to compete in a race in a 50's version of the 550 Spyder.

Nice photo's of a great car. I remember one day in the mid "60's" I was helping my proud dad wash his new Cadillac in the driveway, our neighbor drove by in his new Porsche, my dad smiled and said, "That's a funny looking car, what kind is that?" I said..."Dad, that's a Porsche, that's worth two of your Cadillac's".

Nice shots of a beautiful, classic car. Reminds me of a car that was restored and detailed for show by my neighbor. He worked for hours every week out in his garage replacing nearly every bolt and redoing the interior of his white Carrera. I don’t know the year. While working on that one, he undertook the restoration of a Porsche for Robert Redford. That vehicle had been abandoned on Redford’s ranch where the weather had pretty much ruined it. When he was done it was a pretty nice car. I know he traded for services to get these restored...he’d do the engine on someone else’s car while they did the interior on his...that type of thing. Your photos are great reminders of those my neighbor worked on.

Darn good way for getting needed services, they are not cheap to maintain! A shame Redford let his car get in that state of disrepair but I guess if you have the $$$$. Thanks for Jak viewing.
