I took this photo at the San Diego Zoo several years ago. Of course I was there to photo the animals. The row of bamboo caught my eye....the lady happened to be there. While preparing this post it occurred to me that this could be considered as street photography...something I don’t really do. It probably doesn’t really matter what it’s called...just some random thoughts. I watched a recent video on street photography where the guy said he liked to photo people from behind as it was less intrusive.
It’s a nice shot--a street shot--and I like it. Without the person, I believe it’s probably a vertical landscape.
That said, it’s a little overcooked for my taste.

Yup!, surely Street and surely over-processed. Like the second version better.
Nice colors but I’d call it a snapshot.
Almost any shot with one or more people on a public pathway will pass as street, especially when in b/w. That in its self doesn't make it good, or interesting street photography. The woman, as you said, just happened to be there, and your intension was getting the bamboo, and displaying as vividly as possible. I think if you cropped to a composition that gave her more prominence, converted to b/w and gave it a title such as "Woman contemplating sculpture", it becomes very street legal. Her focus is clearly apparent so she is engaging us in the scene. This is my opinion. If you like, I will post the quick edit I did, which illustrates the changes I mentioned.

"Path" Photography Perhaps? Sure don't look like NYC.

Thank you for the detailed comments....sure, go ahead and post your edit...Thanks.
Ok. As I said I did this quickly, and only one of many possibilities in terms of the conversion and cropping.
People.
Seems to me street photography implies urban background.
