[still scanning old BW film]

Frank Lloyd Wright's Frederick C. Robie House, 1909, on the campus of The University of Chicago in Hyde Park. We lived across the street (the Midway) from here for a couple years. I don't know why I didn't take more shots of this Prairie style landmark.

Beautiful images, great sweeping rooflines.

It is an historical fact that all of Wright's buildings have leaky roofs.

Brings back some nice memories... Many of his houses are scattered all over the area... Had close family friends in Wilmette who owned one on the lake with an equally beautiful beach house...
I will have to take a drive around the area again to see it and many others..

Nice shots

Nice shots! I would have never guessed it to be that old. I would have guessed an elaborate expression from the 50s or 60s.

Your comment is clear confirmation of just how far ahead of "his time" Wright really was. He lived from 1867 to 1959.
