Hello, I have Canon 77D and a Yonguno Speedlight YN600RT II. I can make it work on optical only, no matter what I do, the RT is not working. I heart from others about this issue. Any solutions? work around this problem? Please help. Thank you. Jack.

How are you using the Yungnuo? on-Camera or remotely? If remotely, how are you trying to trigger it via radio (RF) rather than optically?
What kind of transmitter are you using?
Canon 77D has wireless radio build in, but I have yonguno transmitter

Pretty impressive camera, but no built in radio transmitter for remote flash control. Only optical.
No camera I know of has that feature fully built in....yet. (With Nikon, you have to add a module to make it wor and only on a few upper-level models.)

optical (not RF) ”

Exactly. The WiFi that’s built into your camera may be used for image transfer or control, but NOT wireless flash communication. As Goofy said, you need a Yongnuo or Canon transmitter that attaches to the flash shoe on your camera - I use the E3-RT.
I've been using the YN-E3-RT transmitter on my Yongnuo flashs and it works great. Takes a bit of a learning curve but there are videos on the tube for that
Well, I give it to try again. Than k you so much.

What trigger are you using for the flash, is it also Yongnuo, or the Canon?

If it’s the E-3 transmitting to the 600 RT, it’s not trivial to set up initially - I found the manual (if you can call it that) to be less than helpful and the menu structure in the 600 RT is maddening. Make sure that both the transmitter/trigger and flash are on the same channel AND the same group as a start, and if you’re using ETTL, that both are set for that. Also, makes sure that ETTL and external flash are enabled in the camera’s menu.
I find out what is going on. You absolutely right that Canon 77D does not have a wireless flash transmitter. I just went ahead and got brand new Canon 430EX II RT and I called Canon. They confirm it. Than I check my Yongnuo transmitter. It is wireless, but not RT. So this is my solution I think. I went ahead and I purchased new Yongnuo RT Transmitter, the YN-E3-RT. Once I will get it I will test it again to see if I can finally enjoy full wireless RT Flash. I will keep you posted . Thank you my friends. Jack.

69, welcome to the Hog.
As has been said, no RT built in on ANY Canon camera.
I know this is of little help to you and I understand why people buy Yongnuo, I looked st it pretty hard myself because of the cost savings.
In the end I decided to go all Canon with both the trigger and the flash. Some of my shooting is professionally and I could not be in a jam. So with the Canon gear I can call Canon and they solve any problems that arise. They can’t help if I’m mixing in 3rd party equipment.
To offset costs I took my time and looked for good deals on used gear.
Like I said, doesn’t help you any..., so good luck and again, welcome!

I would love to buy Canon trigger, but after being few lenses, Flash etc Im officially broke. Maybe next year, but for now I hope Yongnuo transmitter is decent enough, especially that I don't do a lot of wireless flash shooting. I hope to get more into it, that is why In invested in Yongnuo 600RT and Canon 430EX III RT. And now with Yongnuo trigger. At least I have two RT Flashes to play with...
