The Best Camera...
is the one you have with you. This photo of Mitzi was taken 9 years ago with a Canon Elph P&S. The headboard is a bookcase with a mirrored background and Mitzi posed herself so she was artistically placed between the decorations and reflecting in the mirror behind her. There is no way to get a cat to stay in a pose, thus no way to recreate the picture, and there was no time to run to get a better camera, so I used the Elf that was on the dresser and took the shot. Quality of the photo is not great, but not bad for a 9 year old P&S, and the option was no photo at all.

Nice Capture.Creative. Is Mitzi still with you?
Yes, she is. She's about 12 years old and going strong. She's been very healthy and I hope she'll be around for a long time to come.

Great shot of your adorable Mitzi! Thank you so much for sharing her with us and hope to see more of her and totally understand about having them "stay" to get that shot
You and your Elph did good!
Very good, love the reflection...
Mitzi is a beauty, and what a beautiful image, Ira!

Thank you, Dixiegirl. Mitzi was a rescue kitten we adopted from the pound. She is 12 years old and is quite a character - set in her ways. Her favorite treat is tuna. My wife gives her little bits over the course of the week. If we turn on the can opener, she magically appears. If we can't find her, we just call, "Mitzi,, do you want some tuna?" and she's right there in a flash. She's also very familiar with the word "treat". But she self regulates her intake of food and is just a svelt, petite little girl of 8 lbs. Her name is actually Mitzvah, which is Hebrew for a good deed or doing a blessing. We thought we were doing a good deed in adopting her, but she turned out to be a blessing to us, adding so much love, companionship and comedy to our daily life.

Thanks. We have a sky light in our bedroom and the light was shining just right on the headboard where Mitzi had positioned herself. I would have had to have been practically blind not to have seen the photo potential.

All the elements of a great pose, and no talent needed on my part!

Thank you. The Elph is on the shelf - somewhere- and hasn't been used in years. But it served its purpose.
