The Mastodon's Fin

The title is not meant to be cryptic: the sandstone structures are often referred to as 'fins,' and what some have considered to be a 'mastodon' is incised just out of view on the face of the central rock wall. I saw no reason not to abstract the scene somewhat; these are the colors I see daily.

Beautiful photograph Cany. Utah is one of the most scenic states in the country and you have captured this.

You are lucky to be able to see that daily. I've been to Utah 3 or 4 times and its beauty is something to behold. I know that most states have their beautiful spots and topography, but overall Utah has to be up there.

Great shot Jim. Right time, right place. You know that because you are in the field a lot and know the right time and place. Experience counts.
