Test of a Gift Camera for my wife-Lesser Goldfinches

My wife and I have been married twice 1973 and 2003. We have a son. After we were divorced she remarried and had a son and daughter. He walked out and left her with two little ones 5 and 3. I was still in love with her and spent 5 years convincing her to remarry.
Our original Anniversary is Dec 7, 1973. So this would have been our 45th this year - as far as I am concerned it is how long I have been married to her. So I sometimes get her cards, flowers a gift etc on that date as well as our "new" date May 23. Well she has been using the Canon SX-50 I got her a few years ago but has become unhappy and a few months ago told me "I want a better camera. One with lenses like my Dad's and Your's I used to use." (both film 35 mm) Well I have been looking for something in my budget and I found it on E-Bay, on the 7th so it fit our original anniversary perfectly, the guy was asking $675, I offered $575, we settled on $600.

Canon 760D (T6s) with two batteries, charger and 4 Canon lenses: EF-S 24 f/2.8, EF 50 f/1.8, EF-S 18-135 and EF-S 55-250 II - three of them had UV filters on them. I will need to order hoods since I prefer to leave the filters off and protect the lens with a hood. (I saw the Canon Rep at the local camera store on Sunday and told him what I got and the price. He said "You got that for a bit more than the cost new for the 18-135 IS STM alone. That was a good deal." Don't know why the guy had a 760D since he is in Houston, Texas and I didn't ask - warranty is past so it doesn't matter. Same camera. He did have it set up with the European date form of DD/MM/YYYY and has a German name so ...

It arrived late yesterday, I charged the batteries and went through the menus setting things up to my preferences last night. Then this morning I tested it with the 4 lenses that came with it plus my 100-400L mk II and Tamron 150-600 G2. Real quick test, hand held and of course the Lesser Goldfinches were at the sock feeder under the playhouse on the swing set in heavy shade so not real good light.

Here is one of the quick shots of the birds feeding - hand held at about 30 feet.
760D/T6s, 100-400L mk II @ 400, 1/400 @ f/8.0, ISO 1000 It is going to be her camera, so I signed it with her name.

Now for some more photo classes for her and our special needs son - he will get to use the bridge camera. I have a lot of turorials and books for teaching them. I think this is going to work out fine for her. It is lighter than my cameras and I have a selection of tripods and monopods she can use (she has pain and strength problems in both thumbs).
