On the "Western Slope" of the Colorado Rockies there are more photograph opportunities than I ever had time to shoot. This image includes a man made object but I think it adds to the overall look.

This is looking south at the same location as the previous image. The mountain is named Red Mountain. Believe it our not

I've been to both of those spots. Nice shots. Million Dollar Highway (2d photo) is one of the best drives in the US.

Personally I have no problem at all with man made objects being a part of a scenic. Fences, telephone poles, roads, barns, etc. are all a part of the landscape.

Both images are excellent.

Cheers

Lovely images. Would you be so kind as to give us the location of this Red Mountain (there is more than one in the West)? Thank you.

Really nice - trestle bridge is certainly part of the landscape, and Red Mountain is a great example of a successful vertical landscape.

Oops! Actually I can't as I was mistaken. Red Mountain is to the east of this peak. I searched this morning and couldn't find a name for this one even though it is just over 13K feet. The co-ordinates are
37°47'28.6"N 107°51'42.9"W (37.791265, -107.861916)
The nearest neighbors are San Miguel peak and Lake Point peak
