Pearl Harbor Arizona Memorial is still closed , however the Navy still takes you on a little cruise and gives you a ride with lots of photo opps .., they even turn the boat around so that the passengers on the other side can take pictures as well ...
Once the passenger loading and docking ramps are fixed .., the extended Harbor tour will end ....
Very beautiful looking images.

Why is it closed?
They are repairing/rebuilding the passenger ramps on the memorial so that passenger don't fall through the worn areas.
Dr. Nikon, Thank you for a great set of Images. And for the memories. My wife and I visited the memorial
several years ago and it is overwhelming. I am retired Navy and it was very emotional for me.

There were many untold tails of dec. the 7th. My uncle in the navy stationed at Pearl, His wife gave birth to their daughter on the 6th. When they moved the baby's during the raid The baby was dropped and could never walk or speak. She lived to be nine years old.

I was deployed to Hickman for about a month some years back. I visited the memorial while I was there. I was taken by surprise by the multitude of Japanese at the monument. Many more than Americans. I was struck by the many flowers and wreathes dropped in the waters by those visitors. I was confused. What the heck were they doing there. Interfering in our sacred visit. Maybe paying homage for their sin. Maybe some less than honorable reason. I felt conflicted and still do to this day. All I know is that I felt like I was a stranger in my own country at our monument to soldiers killed by people with no honor.Horrible people. These people. But of course the Japanese do own Hawaii. Still conflicted. Can’t forgive. Will not forget.
