This was sent to me by a pilot friend...

With full screen, sound up, this is stunning.
It is too short at a bit over 2 1/2 mins.

go full screen.

B17 and B25 WWII Bombers over and around Arizona 's Superstition Mountains
and Saguaro Lake. The photography is HD, the planes are gorgeous, and, most
notably, it is shot as the B17 takes off from Falcon Field in Mesa , AZ and
then flies over the Superstition Mountains to the east of Apache Junction
and then on to Roosevelt & Canyon lakes on the east edge of the Phoenix
valley. The backdrops are stunning. Music is from the mini series John Adams.

I live nearby in the desert and love this time of year because they fly over a lot. Yesterday morning while feeding the horses an Apache helicopter flew right over us at about only 200 feet. It looked like a big mean dragonfly. The sounds of freedom.

Beautiful footage, , nice looking plane. I own some property here in Kansas where on Aug 11, 1948 a B-17 bomber crash landed. Unfortunately not all survived. One radial engine went through my barn roof. I have several news clippings of the event with pics. so now I always admire ones I see.
