DX Nikkor 18-300. I just purchased a LowePro bag so that my 200-500 and 10-20 are nearby but the 18-300 is the work horse.

Depends on what mood I’m in, whether I have a plan, or not. Depends on lots of things.

In your own opinion what is your favorite all around carry lens that you want on your cameras 99% of the time. While walking down the street or in the mountains. If you could have just one what would it be. Gary D

I keep the Nikon 24-120 on my D500 all the time. When I'm indoors I keep the Nikon SB400 flash on it as well. Granted 36mm on the wide end can be constraining but the quality of that lens on a DX body makes it worth it.

For my Nikon d7000, it was my Nikon 16-85. For my Olympus e-m5 Mark II, it’s my Olympus 14-150 II.

My 50mm Leica Summicron. Great walk around lens. You can extend the range with your feet!

I seem to remember a Fats Domino song about walking.

For most of us it probably depends on what you most like to shoot. For me on my Nikon D7100 it was the Tamron 16-300 for a long time and now I've replaced that with a Tamron 18-400. I have a wide variety in interests on what I like to shoot so this lens gives me the range for most of what I want and the quality remains good to excellent.
