Hummingbirds are still around

I went to a local Botanical Garden, and I was surprised that they hummingbirds were still here. I guess that some of them do stay all year here. There wasn't too mich for them to eat, so they were sticking around these Aloe from South Africa. Here are a couple that I took.

Nice shots of an Anna's Hummingbird. In your area they will remain around all winter.

Allen's and Anna's Hummingbirds are typically year long residents of California. Certainly where I am in L.A. Co. Ironically, they visit my Aloes as well.

They remain year round here also. I have a feeder in my backyard, but I haven't seen them for a while. But I will keep the feeder going all winter so that they have something to eat.
I saw a documentary on PBS about them, they can go into almost suspended hibernation when it gets cold or during the night. They are pretty amazing.
