Firat of all, I really AM a professional. That means a full
time, "own your own house and two cars" income from
photography. My sister asked me to alter my vacation
schedule to do a job in a very inconvenient location [in
Manhattan, and I live 150 miles upstate] for a cause
that she cares greatly about. I had to put up with some
obstructionists in the staff of venue, etc etc ... IOW, all
the usual hassles. I delivered great variety of about 120
frames, flawless, ready to use in print and online.

She covered all my expenses and I doubt the venue did
that for her :-( Acoarst I charge her ZERO. I don't need
to ask the forum the value of what I delivered cuz it's
no mystery to me. Honest value, expenses aside, would
be $600 .... or double, there's more variables involved
than are worth the space on this page.

What price, professional services ? What is the client
paying for ? Top items are availability and reliability.
Those are THE top items. That defines professional
service. And those 2 things are toadally uninvolved
in shooting for your neighbors etc etc.

` br br br Firat of all, I really AM a... (show quote)

As a "pro", charge the $1200 or deliver with a note telling them the going rate is $1200 for this service, but I give it to you as a xxxxx gift. Without either, you make yourself look cheap, and it will be expected free from now on.

Family is family and business is business. When I worked for a living, I was an electrician. Family always expected something for nothing. When I would tell them I get $25 an hour plus parts, this should run $100 they woul ball. I told them your welcome to call someone else, they almost always called me back, then I would tell I'm booked for a month, and they would call the other person....

Sometimes it will cause hard feelings, but usually, when you explain they understand..

Not sure if this helps, but I was just in Bali surfing at Uluwatu. The locals have set up a system where they take your pictures while you're surfing with a 400mm tele from the cliffs above, and show the pics on an iMac when you get out of the water. They charge between $1-3 per picture depending on how many you buy amd just send a digital copy via iCloud or cable directly to your phone.

In your situation, it might be worth giving the photos in digital format for free and offering prints at cost: with a sensitively worded appeal for donations for those that are able to do so.

Glad I'm not one of your family members.

Your headache is not the way I present them.
It's the way you read them.

I do not care if my posts are unreadable on a
phone screen. They're easy to read on normal
PC screens. This is a photo forum. Whoever is
reading text on a phone also views photos on
phone .... thaz truly dizzzzzgusting :-( If you
try Instagram, you might like it.

No, duane klipping is right, at least the way your lines break up. Are you posting with a phone? It really should make no differance what you post with, the lines should automatically wrap, untill you hit the enter key to force a new paragraph. Your posts may have two words and a new line starts. There has to be a reason for this, he is just trying to figure it out. And I'd like to know too. Because there is no <br> in your posts.
