Cumbres & Toltec Railroad in October

Rode this incredible steam railroad on October 9, 2018. It snowed at times at the higher elevations, sometimes looking like a blizzard! Beautiful scenery with yellow aspen and white snow! This photograph shows the two coal-fired steam engines that pulled us up the steep (4%) grade from Chama, NM (Elevation 7,863') up to Cumbres Pass, CO (Elevation 10,015'). I highly recommend this train ride!

Absolutely beautiful landscape of the train. Composition is quite good given you probably took the shot from the train. Beautiful!

You are correct, it was shot from the open gondola car which was the third car from the end of the 10-car train.
