I've worked really hard and long on this Galaxy

M31 is starting to come together but, not without hiccups all along the way. 1st it was my lxd55 mount , then my guiding and finally having to move down the hill to the back yard and try getting everything the way it needs to be again. The stacking over several weeks of data isn't fun to align , when you remove your imaging train every night and attempt to line it up the same as before. It's all been a learning experience and the help that I've got from you guys on the forum , Rocks ! I thank yall for offering your help when I needed it . It's still a long way from being finished but, it's a good start I think, I couldn't even get a good 20s image of it last year. 100 subs lum 30s , 16@30s red 17@30s,green 23@30s blue and I've got a lot of data still to pick through. Give it a go and tell me what I need to start paying attention too. I went through a dumped so many subs out of 300 total that weren't up to par, it made me just about cry.

Good to see you are getting things up and running.

Just to be sure, with that 8” you will only get a piece of the galaxy. You have the core on this shot. If you look at ed’s Image https://www.uglyhedgehog.com/t-353726-1.html and look at the dust, you can tell how much of the core you are getting.

Nice job on this. Also, when you upload your images, there is a little checkbox that you should select that will load the larger image. The larger images are much better than these smaller ones that are in the post.

ive Circle the checkbox. What that will do is add the link below this image that says download. The download image is a much better version for viewers to look at.

Thanks Brian , I downsized all attempts at processing . I'll try to remember to leave my jpeg original size , my plan is to do a multi-panel mosaic of m31 , 32 and 110 for s&g . Ed told me I had to get my mount squared away before we even try that , after the 1st time we used teamviewer and the mount just acted ugly. I gave it a good re-grease and tune-up afterwards and its much better . The closer I get to Zenith , for some reason I'm having a lag problem when it gets to a certain point , it may be the cables/ cords don't have enough slack. I'll check that the next chance I get outside , always something to check when dealing with an older mount . My checklist grows every time it gets cold , I think it's warm natured. HA HA
