These birds really don't like hawks.

Western Kingbirds are normally aggressive, but they especially don't like hawks. I have seen them attack red tailed hawks several times, but I have only seen one land and peck once.

As for other species, I've seen redwing blackbirds attacking hawks quite often. I've even seen RWBB attacking great blue herons

They go after Crows pretty good too in my area. Never even heard of Western Kingbirds until I identified (with Merlins help & the UHH) a small group of them in a tree by my house.

Thanks to all of you for your kind words. As for the RWBBs, I have seen them harassing other large birds, but never outright attacks.
