Close up with "in camera crop" + P.P. crop

Recently I have been using the 2X "in Camera" crop function for some bird shots. I think that they might be a bit sharper due to better auto focusing than what occurs when not using the cropped sensor. Here are some samples.

Ron, I am not familiar with this camera but if these shots are any example, then it certainly does a good job. Nice.

I use a Sony A65, a translucent mirror type with 24MP resolution(4000x6000 pixels). The 2X "in camera" crop reduces the resolution by 50%.
