Been practicing converting color to b&w....which do you like better - the color or the b&w? And what can I do to make the b&w better? Edited in Lightroom. Along the Flathead River with the Columbia Mountain range, Kalispell MT

Hi there Joe, glad you like them. I grew up out your way...Ellwood City...I do miss my hometown especially in the fall!

Black and White for the great tonal range. Ansel Adams would be proud of your B&W image

I do like the B&W better than the color.

I opened the image in Silver Efex Pro 2 from NIK and ran through the presets. I don't know that any are better, but there are a lot of ways this image can be presented. One of the high key presets made it look real wintery. It might be worth exploring.

Good Morning Bill.....I have the NIK collection but didn't use it on this one...just used the various settings in LR. I will check out the high key presets and see what it looks like. Thanks for playing around with it and you should post the one you edited...I would like to see it!
