On this Marine Corps birthday... I'd like to share how I presented my pics from their museum in Quantico. From my visit about a year ago. Please view with sound and full screen.

I was not a Marine... but I did serve in the Air Force. This museum is a treasure.

There is a large Marine Corps Base in Southern California called Camp Pendleton, located between Los Angeles and San Diego. Many of the Marines did two tours to Iraq and/or Afghanistan. That Base sacrificed more military lives to Middle Eastern Conflicts, since 7-11 in 2001, than any other US military Base in America. Happy Birthday US Marine Corps. Thanks for sharing the video.

I appreciate your service the excellent job honoring your brothers in arms. Though I never served one of my best friends did. He was at Khe Sanh in 68. Spent many a Veteran's Day with him. It was the only day he would talk about those 70 some days, usually after slot of Jim Beam. He died three years ago. His birthday was the 9th of November he would have been 68. Still miss friend.

Thanks Barry, I'm planning on a visit to the museum next summer. One of the best choices in my life was joining the Marines.

Barry thank you for that great video. I served from 1963-1967 in the Marines and spend 13 mos. in Viet Nam 1965-1966. A couple years ago our VA officer set up a bus trip to the Marine Corps Museum, we had members from all branches in attendance for the bus trip. The video brought memories back from that trip. The museum itself brought memories (some good, some bad) back from Viet Nam. Thanks again for a job well done Airman, and thank you for your service Barry.
BTW, my brother retired as a Brigadier General in US Air Force.

Semper Fi,
Joe W.

Thanks for sharing Barry! I was in the Corps in 70-71 and in Nam from Jan. to April '71. Your video has put another line on my "bucket list". I most likely will head there sometime next summer.

Thanks for a great video. I really appreciated watching it. I served two tours in Vietnam and would go back again tomorrow if needed. My twin brother served one tour and received a Purple Heart. Serving in the Corps has given me more pride and love of country than anything I can think of in my life with the exception of my two children. It was an honor and a privilege to serve.

Semper Fi Marine brothers and sisters and Happy 243rd Birthday,

Dennis
