When it comes out Canon will probably have volumes to say about it. Only Canon may know when it will be released. 80D still a heavy hitter for its class.

Your guess would be as good as ours. Not only is there nothing official from Canon on the specifications of a possible 90D, but even the Canon rumor sites are short on suggesting potential new and upgraded functionality. Of course if it is replaced by the end of the year, the very capable 80D will probably be heavily discounted.

Its seems rather unusual that there are no credible rumors in the pipeline at this time if the introduction of an upgrade to the 80D will be announced in the next 6 weeks. It leads me to suspect it won't happen if we don't hear something soon.

As a current 80D user, I would love an upgrade to dual card slots, built in GPS, additional focus points and higher ISO....did I mention it should keep the same price point as the 80D?

Canon rates the camera by the number. The lower the number the better the camera is.

Nikon names their models with the letter in front of the numbers, like a D70 vs a Canon 70D...
