Need Sony RX10 iv repaired.
The camera is still under warranty (till the end of Nov.) I have a problem with the flash not flashing when requested. Rarely use a flash so I didn't notice until this fall that it wasn't working properly. So, my question is , where should I send it? On reading some of the HOGG comments, it seems Sony does not have a great repair rep. Do any of the major stores (B&H, Adorama, Keh, do these type of repairs under warranty?
The camera was not dropped or damaged; the flash just quit. It did work3-4 times and then just died.
Any help would be greatly appreciated; I have never had a problem like this so I'm not quite sure where to go.
If it is under warranty return to where you bought it and ask for a new one

Have you called Sony?
Stores don't do repairs - they send them out.
I would try these guys - they are Sony authorized:

Have you teched to see your settings are correct. Try taking camera battery out. I have the RX10 III have never used Sony repair.
I would ask for a new camera not sure that will work. Sound silly but is your menu set to no flash. This is an amazing flash for a built in.
Good luck.
If it is still under warranty take it back to the retailer who should send it back to Sony for repair/replacement
at no charge.
I sent a Sony rx100 to Sony for repair. Other than not being in a rush or providing me with people to talk to on the phone, they did a great job.
Remember how the internet works. Sony could repair 2000 cameras successfully. Five people get a bee in their bonnet and write long winded complaints and it looks like disaster has struck.
It is like Lightroom. Adobe has 10 million subscribers using all sorts of software, including Lightroom. 50 people on UHH think Adobe is greedy and terrible. Therefore 9 million, 900 thousand, 900 and 50 are wrong!
Sony has a very good repair process
They had me send my camera to a repair shop in Connecticut and they did a terrific job and got my camera back in 2.5 weeks
Call Sony customer service as they are terrific

Only Sony will repair it for free under warranty.
Stay the hell away from Precision Camera repair. I had a horrendous experience with them. I have found that this is very common with them. Try and find another authorized repair center.
This company did a great job on my a7ii.
Not my experience
They were terrific
Did you use them??

Right. Based on what I've read here, Sony does not have a great reputation when it comes to repair, but their cameras seem to need repair more than they should - I mean newer cameras. If I was spending money on an expensive mirrorless, it would be a a Fuji.
Agree
Precision camera was superb
I have the camera. I had a similar issue but found that I did not have correct settings for the flash. Check your settings before concluding that the flash is inoperative or malfunctioning.
