Hi, I have been lurking here for a while now and decided to jump in and say howdy to you folks.
I have been enjoying photography since a young whipper snapper. My first camera was a Kodak box camera when I was in the Boy Scouts. Drop the camera on a camping trip and cracked the plastic that caused a light leak. But a little black electrical tape made that camera serviceable for a couple of more tears.
From there it was a Spotmatic to Nikon to Canon to etc etc etc.
I enjoy everyones imput and am learning a lot. There is some very smart folks an here and I am looking forward to learning from every one.
Just to let you know I am an old guy and have been retired for a couple of years now. So if I get grumpy from time to time - pay no never mind to me.
Looking forward to the adventure or whatever happens out there and all the good people on the forum.

welcome, I’ve been here a short time, and enjoy it most of the time, there is still a lot of old timers out here taking pictures with and without film.1967 was my first time with a 35mm Nikon a gift. And it stuck l still have that F and plan on shooting some BW of course I have been planing that for a few years. One of these days. I have found here that most of these people like to talk everything photography and that great, but of course there is the few know it ALL have it ALL. You will see as you go along. But overall it’s a great site. Time to go yell at somebody on my grass.

Retired funeral director/embalmer/coronerand another grumpy old fart. Open heart surgery, several ops on right arm, colon cancer and still gripping. God has blessed! Welcome and have fun!
