I'll be the outlier, I like a fast shutter and the silky look. Where I will diverge, I do not care for the water when it is brown from excess rain. Sorry, it just not very appealing. I would suggest you take them and make them B&W and see if it's more appealing.

I, too, prefer the less "silky" one. It's more like the eye perceives it. And as an old Western PA person, I've been to Ohiopyle. Lovely spot.

Some people do not like when photography approach's art. Same as SOOC people do not like post processing.
