I am spending a week with my sister, who lives in SMA, to witness the celebrations involved with the Days of the Dead, which start on October 31 and go through November 2. As I work on my photos I will submit more posts.
San Miguel de Allende is a beautiful town in the central mountains of Mexico - although it lacks the appeal of the beaches and turquoise waters of Cancun, it attracts its share of tourists and retirees. It is a tidy, safe, pretty little town.
The homes are typical colonial design - walls built out to the street, but often beautiful inner courtyards and patios, including sometimes patios on the rooftop overlooking the city.

Beautiful shots i like taking these kind of shots. Open door shots showing the interior courtyard are so inviting.
Beautiful old buildings. It looks refreshing. Old world. Thanks.

Steve, an awesome set of photos and thank you for telling me what I was seeing. In the first photo I see the tree is growing into the wall, or at least that is what it looks like. The town reminds me of small towns I have been in Northern Italy. Thanks again,
Greg
Looks like a quaint little town. Love the first photo where I looks like the tree is coming right out of the wall. It looks almost like it is trying to get into the walls. The little balconies with the potted plants are very nice. Looks like a relaxing place to be.

Great shots Stephen. A beautiful little town. That old door is quite a work of art itself.

Excellent series Steve, lovely old town.
Many professional photographers hold photographic workshops in San Miguel de Allende. From the title I was expecting to see some images from "El Dia de los Muertos" and I am sure you have some very colorful images from that day that I am looking forward to seeing in a new post.
It all seems to indicate to me that the little town is very colorful and photogenic. I like to photograph those old Spanish architecture. I had lots of that during my visit to Spain this past April.
Thank you for sharing.
