Now I no longer fly myself around so much, I do hope that those in charge of the front seats on the commercial flights I take... are the exceptions to this particular rule?

same thing was said to a pal of mine.he told his mother he wanted to play in a jazz band................she said "you cannot do both..."
right now he has gone from OZ to San Diego and New Orleans....playing JAZZ! ( he is now 67)

Most likely not. As I pointed out it was just a joke. Some people insist that a joke somehow be related to the real world. A motorcycle cop could just as easily been substituted for a pilot.
