More Bragging About My Wife
Another shot she got at the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles.
I mentioned that she got a "surprise" at the numbers of spiders in the walk in room. The dangerous ones are behind plastic, no decent shots. This one was out in the open. Her SX-50 does not have a real macro lens but she got 99+% in focus and in spite of being hand held up very close she got 99.9% of the spider. The colors and light came out great. There is no helping the out of focus screen behind the top half. Maybe I will try and fake a better background.

Nice. My daughter likes me to kill spiders instead photographing them.

She did a very good job and you’re a smart man to brag. It’s a very good shot.

(Almost unmentioned, spiders give me the ultimate creeps)

Thanks, I put it on Facebook and our daughter threatened to not come home for Christmas if it was in the yard. She hates spiders and most other creepy crawly things more than Garfield the Cat.

Thank you.

Debra also freaks about them, she stayed in the room and photographed them because our special needs son Jon was fascinated and wouldn't leave until he had seen it all. I think that it was a case of "If I look at them through the camera then I am not really near them." She got a couple really good shots considering there was probably a lot of camera shake involved.

That's a well detailed macro shot. There's nothing wrong with bragging with shots like that.

Thanks a lot, I will pass it on. I think I have "Debra's Secretary" added to my resume.
