Hello, Just happened across this forum in search of photography ideas. My son graduates this year and I am needing to take the senior photos myself. I have a Nikon D80, and I figure I should be able to take good pictures if I can figure out the secrets of its use. Hoping to find ideas/techniques here. Looking forward to learning.
Welcome to UHH LaDona, glad you joined us. I also once had a D80, upgraded to the D7100 and D7200. You will be able to get ideas and advice on what you want to do here on the Hog.
Have fun, learn and enjoy the forum.

Consider LIGHT the most. Newer cameras handle low light better but the D80 can handle it if you do what's needed to have enough light on the subject. You first need to know HOW they want them done? Formal on that day or informal with The student choosing the setting?
Find out what they want and come back with that info and you can get specific help here.
Welcome to the forum LaDona. Take your camera wherever you go and take lots of shots to hone your skills with the camera, and then post some shots and ask specific questions. You can also use the search function on this site to access the wealth of information here.
Welcome to our forum!
Unfortunately, there are no secrets. : )
