Plockton on a misty day.
There's more than one house in Plockton, but it's a much-photographed place and I wanted to find a less-photographed corner of it.

Thank you Jim. The boat is at an in-between stage. It's not in use but it's not a full-blown wreck.... yet. When the tide comes in the front end floats but the back end doesn't.

Oh yes! Almost expect to smell the air. Wondering why, I noted essentials being captured, such as the boat and house telling us of the different peoples here, the mucky low tide contrasted with the beautiful horizon view, the curving line through the composition leading us through the main areas.
Once again, Coz, you have cashed in on every possible, monocular cue to depth perception available in your chosen scene.
A wonderfully engaging, involving image!
Well seen and executed.

I think the composition is very strong. The boat gets our immediate attention and then we move, via the boats in the water, to that house. It balances the scene nicely. Then you have a great background with the mist barely shrouding the huge mountains. Yes, this is well done.

Quite like this. The decrepit boat offers some sharp detail, the white house the hope of some brightness and the distance between the colour foreground and the almost monochrome background all make a very enjoyable scene. I don't think this would look half as good with the sun out.
I have read everyone's comments. I can't disagree with any of their statement. Very nice caprure.
Nice photo, R. G., and I like your personal comment on the world.
I like how the background haze leaves the foreground to command the scene. Well framed composition.

Overall, this scene is magnificent !!! The paint chipped boat in the foreground almost steals the show, IMO. Altho, the misty background plays a huge role in the overall appearance as well. Nicely done R.G. !!!
