Hello
Sounds crazy I agree, just purchase a used Canon 1dx attached a sigma 120-300 2.8 sport. With my glasses on while shooting the focus isn't clear. Remove my glasses and it is sharp n clear focus. Suggestions

Did you adjust the viewfinder diopter upon purchase?

Is there a diopter adjustment for the viewfinder? If so, check to see what it is set to, and adjust.

EDIT: Slow typer me strikes again Linda!

As suggested it's most likely the diopter. Adjust it for your preference to use the camera with or without glasses. If you remember the number of clicks you can also easily set it back or forth and have the best of both worlds.

LOL, it happens to all of us - the weirdest being when a topic has been up for 20 or 30 minutes without comment, and then suddenly 4 people answer within seconds of each other.

That has never happened to me and my cameras - only the cameras and microscopes at my work. Drives me nuts! And some of the explanations why they change the settings from neutral has nothing to do with vision correction.

Suggestion - Shoot with your glasses off!

If you want to shoot with your glasses on, adjust it wearing your glasses, otherwise adjust it without your glasses.
The previous owner most likely set it for the way he shot.

You won't know till you try. In the time it took you to type and print this post you could have tested it.

Shooting without glasses sounds like a good thing to me. My suggestion is you enjoy it.

I can't afford a Canon 1, but on my Model 5 I can adjust the viewfinder to work with my glasses on - set it once and it will always be OK (unless you take your glasses off ...). It is a small wheel next to the viewfinder which allows the adjustment to your glasses.

If the eyepiece one the camera does not have a correction wheel to adjust the diopter than you can buy them in various powers to match your glasses, a brick and mortor camera store should be able to help you out with this.
