I had a problem with the Epson V600 Photo scanner and Epson Scan software. The software would freeze after a few scans. Two phone calls to Epson solved the problem. Last April's Windows update changed something causing the problem. Six months later and they still have neither told the first support people how to solve it nor have they sent out a patch though they claim to be working on it. And they have not posted anything on their website. Pretty poor support.
Here is the fix. Go to Windows>twain_32>escndv>escndv.exe. Click once>right click>properties>compatibility mode>run as administrator. I do not know if you just right click on the file and then run as admin will be a permanent fix.
I hope no one goes through the aggravation I did on this.
Funny because I use my V600 almost every day and its not had a glitch at all since the update.

You are lucky. I should have googled it because many people reported it.
Thanks for that. I've filed it away and hope I never need it.
