Just installed CC 2019. For the moment I cannot install my Nik collection which I use frequently. Has anyone discovered how to install Nik? Many thanks!

Windows:

Navigate as follows: Computer > Local Disc C > Program Files > Adobe > Adobe Photoshop CC 2018 > Plug-ins
Right click on Google and choose "Copy"

Navigate to: Computer > Local Disc C > Program Files > Adobe > Adobe Photoshop CC 2019 > Plug-ins
Right click and choose "Paste"

Open Photoshop and the Nik plug-in should be at the bottom of the filter list.

I had to reboot my computer for it to work, but it should not be necessary.

Macintosh: Sorry I don't know.

I saved the full installer program from when it was a free app. I ran the installer and it put the NIK collection back in the Photoshop filters menu.

Another option is to locate the NIK setup file in your downloads folder and reinstall. I store all my downloads on one of my internal data drives.

Thanks everyone! I copied the Nik Collection and pasted it into the plugins folder on CC 2019. It worked!

I also had this problem and did exactly what you said. But, Vivesa for some reason won't copy over, and Vivesa is the only one I use. NIK (DxO) is trying to make me purchase them after having used them for years.

I would be curious to hear whether the updated version of Photoshop is more stable with Nik. With the 2018 version you had to select the "click" option in Nik to go to the current layer or Photoshop would crash when you try execute the filter.

That must be a local issue for you. My NIK works perfectly in both versions, 2018 and now 2019.

I had the upgrade remove my 2018 version and when I went in to the 2019 realized NIK wasn't there. So, I just reinstalled it from my download of NIK and that took care of it.

Not saying this will work - but maybe worth a try:

Navigate to Program Files > Adobe > Adobe Photoshop CC 2017 > Plug-ins > Google
copy Vivesa from there to the 2019 folder.

My copies of NIK and Topaz transfered over seamlessly but my NeatImage did not

Perhaps, but it must be happening for some because of the numerous comments about the "fix".

I did not mean to negate your issue. I'm sure it is frustrating. I hope you solve it.

No problem at all and happy to hear you don't seem to experience the problem. It is frustrating for me considering probably about 1/4 of the time when I try to bring the filter into photoshop, photoshop crashes. It would just be great if that issue goes away with the updated version. Or, perhaps, buying the newer version of NIK would be worth it.

Thanks for the response.
Do you have the setup/installation files? I resolved my issue by reinstalling. I'd be happy to offer you that file as a download from my Dropbox. Would need a PM with
your email address. Can't hurt by trying.
