Doesn't look like it.
See attached link to "All About Birds" with photos and range maps - you are in Michigan, where did you photograph the hawk? Your location as given on UHH is a hundred of miles out of their range.

It is an Audubon Soc. of Mich. rescued bird. When they said it, it was a name I hadn't heard before. Then I saw the recent post on UHH about a "Swainsons Hawk" and it looked similar to me. Check it out yourself. It's in flight.

I don't THINK so. Just because it doesn't match anything else, and Red-tailed Hawks, particularly juveniles, are almost infinitely variable I am going the tentatively say Red-tailed Hawk (how's that for equivocation).

Ok, now that I have examined a Swainsons closer the markings on the face are not similar nor is the color. Got carried away there for a moment.

I looked on Cornells Merlin app and it could be a broad winged hawk.

I’m pretty sure it’s just a plain ole Redtail.
They’re found all over the country and are very easy to get close to.
Might be a broad wing since it doesn’t have any white on the chest. Maybe just young.
I’m gonna go with BIRD!!
Just don’t touch them like the people in Montana do!!!

I think it's a Cooper's hawk or it's little brother the Sharp-shinned Hawk. The Cooper's has a rounded tail, whereas the Sharp-shinned is smaller and has a squared off tail.
