"My car is very expensive, and I don't want any idiots denting it."

I like seeing how some people "punish" people who park like this.

Boots perform most effectively because the inconsiderate driver cannot simply ignore the social infraction of either hogging two or more parking spaces or blocking access. The space hog has to experience an inconvenience for the offense.

I'd just find another parking spot, somewhere away from idiots like those. I wouldn't even leave them a note. I'd just remove the lug nuts from their wheels. ;)

Parking like that is just asking to get "keyed" in a crowded parking lot. All cars get door digs eventually. What does he think it is? A 1965 Corvette or something else collectible?

Begging to get keyed. If I was driving a classic with no door protection strips (and I have), you just park a long way away from the crowds and walk (the exercise is good for you anyway). I hate door dings, so that’s my strategy. I have probably walked a hundred miles over the years, but some cars are real works of art (at least to a “car guy”), so preventing getting one marked up is just taking care of fine old things, the same way you wouldn’t “ring” an antique table with a wet glass.

Generally the parking lot is private land - so the need to 'obey' any rules is zilch! You do not even have to follow the arrows (or indians as my wife calls them). The chances of getting recompense for any damage is zilch....As long as you have valid ticket (where needed) there is nothing anyone can do (legally).

Go ON !!! Park sideways...I double dare you!

Today I saw a pick-up parked across two disabled parking lots. I was able to see the person who did. He came out of the store, got in his rig and drove off. He was an "elderly" man, but not disabled by any means and his rig did not display a sign either!

Disabled people dont always look disabled.
However, no need to take up 2 spaces. Thats just plain rude and lazy, dont care how old you are.

I really believe that at least 50% of handicap placards are fraudently obtained. I understand that some handicaps are not noticible or easily seen. Just too many people have them and they walk faster than me.

In the past I have greased door handles and am thinking of beginning the practice again.

I have actually seen the keying of a car doing this.
Not my issue so I left.
Yes, perhaps wrong to not report but was in a hurry to get somewhere and for something like this you would be lucky to even get a police response.

I have a restored '69 Jaguar XKE that I drive on occasion. One day, I decided to stop at a local supermarket to pick up a few items. I parked as far away from the store as possible....away from everything. When I came out, some idiot had parked so close beside me that I couldn't open my door. That car, and my car were the only two vehicles in that part of the lot. To this day, I have no idea why.
