The Australian Woodduck is sometimes called a Maned Goose & is not the same species as the Northern Hemisphere Woodduck. They are very common & can often be seen in hundreds feeding on the banks around farm dams (ponds). Downloading is recommended.

You had me worried for a moment! At first I thought I didn't know what a Woodduck was! Then I saw the word "Australian". Not quite as colorful as the American Woodduck but your last shot shows just how regal they can look. Very nice shots.

Yes, your Woodduck is a beautiful bird & our Woodduck is quite drab in comparison. They are related in name only. Earl.

Lovely images, Earl. Just this morning, I saw and shot my VERY first wood duck (North American) ever. Had a friend with me and it was a first for her, too. We were two very thrilled people. We’re hoping that more will show up soon.
Thank you for sharing.

Earl, excellent set and DDLs show off the sharpness in them.
