SOLD

This lens has a broken, plastic lens mount. I'm not sure how it happened (no recent trauma) but when I tried to mount it several days ago, I realized that the plastic mount had snapped off. Funny, I had just used it a few days before. The glass is fine, body good. Very sharp lens, quick to focus and lightweight, really nice color, contrast and clarity.

It may be worth fixing as a DIY project for anyone handy or worth something to someone for parts.

Asking 50.00 or best- includes shipping

Awwwww sorry - but this gives you the excuse for that 55-200! (or did you already snap that up? ;)

As a matter of fact, I just received the 55-200 mm lens yesterday and plan to take it to a birding location today to try out the video :) I think it will be perfect for relatively close up birds. The Sandhill Cranes will be arriving for the season soon and it should work well for the birds landing and taking off near the shore. They certainly are big enough to focus on.

That's right, I think you did mention that you had ordered it. I would love to see some of your video with it - I am going to purchase it next when I save up a few extra bucks. I have asked my local camera to call me when they get a used trade in - think I will go that route.

I will do that. One note- the lens is a bit heavier than I thought it would be according to the stats. Not a problem for me but may be heavier than some would like.
