Just got an email from Samsung announcing their 8K 85 inch TV. Oh humm, now all the cameras will have to announce their new 8k capable cameras. The price of the TV was $14999.99, anyone got a penny.

There still isn't much 4k programming yet. When will they give us a break?

I'm going to wait for 16K. Then I'm going to wait for something to be made in 16k.

Haha. I'm keeping the TV I got five+ years ago until it breaks!

One can just hope that it will have a decent picture quality, as of now all the so called HD Tv's and even 4K are still lacking behind to what was the norm back in the 70's!

Samsung actually had 4 of their 8K TV's on display at CES show in 2016 along with a prototype 12K model. Several pro video cameras have been shooting in 8K since that time but its still not quite feasible for the consumer market. Advent of the CFExpress memory cards will make it a distinct possibility and they will be available sometime in 2019. Expect BIG price tags for any of the 8K products though, just like anything else that is new and groundbreaking.
