Has anyone ever used this on a Sigma Lens ? I have a Sigma 70-300mm and would like the 1.4X Teleconverter or the 2.0X Teleconverter. I would love to hear from any of you that may have some experience with this equipment dealing with a Sigma 70-300mm?.?
I seriously doubt your lens is fast enought to retain AF function with either converter. But it will work in MF mode.

One thing that many people who purchase Tele Converters fail to realize is that they change the maximum aperture of the lens by the same factor as the optical extension, so a 2.0 converter on a 5.6 aperture will result in an maximum aperture of 11.2 and you will lose the ability to auto focus.... Sigma on their site does have a compatibility chart for the converters, I have owned both Sigma tele converters and felt that they were quality product although eventually I did finally sell my 2.0 because I did not have any lenses that retained auto focus and did not see myself purchasing a 2.8 telephoto... I kept my 1.4 and still use it and would not consider selling it..
I have the Sigma 18-300 lens and would like to know if the Tele Converter would work on that lens

Teleconverters are intended for reasonably fast
telephoto lenses, not slow superzooms. Most cameras will not autofocus when using even a 1.4X TC with a lens who's max aperture at max zoom is F6.3. With a 1.4X TC, the max fstop with the lens wide open will be F9.
There may be other issues - the rear element of the lens may physically contact the front element of the TC, without AF you'll be forced to try and focus manually in a very dark viewfinder, and last but most important - image sharpness on this lens is worst between 200mm and 300mm. So a TC will only amplify the weaknesses.
If you want to use a TC, use a single focal length (prime) telephoto, or a lens with limited zoom (70-200) to get results that would be acceptable.
