Whichever you use, make sure it’s a major provider with good financials and long-term prospects such as Amazon, Google, Microsoft, Apple, etc. Several other factors to consider (other than price) is how you’ll automatically back up to their service and if they’ll let you seed and recover using a HD if you have many TB of data and a less than optimal internet connection.

There are a bunch out there.
I use Carbonite. All automatic, indicates which files are backed up or pending backup, can retrieve from anywhere.
Not sure of them providing a recovery HD though.
I also back up documents, spreadsheets, PDFs, Quicken files, etc., any important files.

I favor Yandex, the Russian alternative to Google. Their 'Yandex Disc' cloud storage is much quicker and easier than Google or Drop Box. All you have to do is set up an e-mail account with Yandex.com and send a large file to your old e-mail and things proceed pretty much automatically.

I thought Kodak had long term prospects too ... but their photo storage went bottoms up and I moved them to ShutterBug. Also used the Nikon site but since I deserted Nikon for MicroFourThirds I pulled those out. Panasonic with some Olympus and Metz for their better speedlights doesn't open up a replacement for the Nikon site but the Macintosh Cloud plus a Western Digital backup located in my daughter's home (down the street from mine) gives me plenty of protection against loss since my apartment building has excellent fire protection that got tested by an actual kitchen fire a few months ago.

Yes. I store both .CR2 and JPEG. I don't think there is a file size limit.
The plan I have is unlimited storage for one drive on one personal computer (not business).
If I want something on either laptop saved, I transfer (copy) it to the tower and it gets backed up.
Depending on how much you have, as with any internet backup, it could take DAYS to send all of the stuff INITIALLY, but any changed or added files are backed up automatically and quickly. You can also tell it to back up a file as soon as possible.
They have a list of basic files that they will back up, but you can also tell it to back up specific (additional) directories (folders) and file types (extensions).
It adds a "Carbonite" option to the file right-mouse-click button where you have options to do for Carbonite.
I can send screen shots if you like.

Glad to.
Give me a bit, I'm de-fragmenting one of my backup drives on that computer.

Turns out you don't get the "backup as soon as possible" option if the file is already backed up - had to modify a file to get it.
The little colored dots on the files and directories indicate the status of the files and directory contents. Green is backed up, orange is pending, don't remember what the others are at the moment. They explain the dots though.
Here are some snippets from Windows Explorer.

You store your (valuable) data in a Russian cloud? Forgetting about the technology that brought us Chernobyl, what is the trans continental upload/download speed to Russia?

Backblaze is $50 per year, works in the background. When Windows 10 forced an upgrade on my desktop last May, I lost everything, and thankfully I was able to restore all files, images, etc. It won't restore programs but that was easy.

I use BackBlaze also.. I went to them because of unlimited storage of all my drives and a reasonable cost. Just remember the more you have to backup originally and depending on your band with the longer it will take after that b/u is almost instantaneously
