Hi my name is Mark Nolte and I live in Des Moines Iowa. I love taking pictures but no that I have so much to learn before I will consider myself even close to being any good at this. I currently am using a Canon Rebel XSI with a 28-135 lens but am going to up grade in the middle of September to either a Canon D7 or a Canon 5D MK II, having a hard time deciding on this. Also having a hard time deciding to go with a prime 24 and prime 50 with a 70-200 lens for distance. I am thinking I want to shoot with prime lenses for awhile to help me learn more about shooting pictures and understanding how light and distance affects my shots. I have uploaded a couple of pictures I have taken for review.

Welcome - in my "what is the world is that worth opinion" I offer the following. #1 seems to a little lacking in sharpness / focus. #2 - there is a slight, barley to be seen part of the image to your right of the subject; I would suggest to either get rid of or make easier to be seen. What is some's favorite "rule" is to move your subjects off center. Would not try to make the pont about that one either way - go with what looks best to you, unless your are attempting to sell then what the consumer wants. #3 - nice colors and uncluttered background. I may of, as in might of tried to get a lower angle on it to get rid of the ground / trees completely from the frame. Can't say for sure, may have tried both ways to see which I liked.
