Name is John Higbie. I've been photographing since boyhood and Kodak 110 film days, developing in a drainable cold locker built to hang deer bagged by the house's previous owner. Soon ran out of pocket change and stopped until years later (except for a Pentax Spotmatic bought at a PX in Saigon) and birth of first one and advent of digital.
Baby-stepped into "big" cameras with a Nikon P500, the took a deep breath and bought a Nikon D7100. We're retired now and travelling a lot. I carried the 7100 for a few trips, then jumped to a Fujifilm X-Pro2 mirrorless for lighterweight and Fuji's continuous software upgrading. I first carried the 18mm-55mm and a 55-200mm of a European trip, hardly used the 55-200 but wanted more reach, so I'm trying out a 18-135 on the next trip (along with a Nikon 50mm with adapter for museum, etc).
Thanks for the great website and all of the helpful info.
Thanks too to the website for limiting the worst angels of our nature.
