Am reading an interesting and informative book on editing film/videos.

Although I only make mostly amateur music videos of me and my friend covering 60's rock songs for Youtube I have found that editing the video is actually my favorite part of the project. I recently bought this book "The Art of the Cut" on Amazon.

https://www.amazon.com/Art-Cut-Editing-Concepts-Filmmaker/dp/1514272075/ref=sr_1_2?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1538244925&sr=1-2&keywords=the+art+of+the+cut

Since I enjoy watching films I'm starting to notice how the cuts were made. Hopefully this will add some spice to my own video efforts.

Thanks, Bob. My twins are budding filmmakers. One's in the Honors College of Stage and Screen at Western Carolina University. I sent this link to him.

Actually, Trevor just texted me that he ordered it... two minutes after I sent him the link!

I may have to have a copy myself! I'm part aging AV Specialist, with lots of production time behind me.

Looks good! Thanks for the link. May add it to my next Amazon order. Just getting into video and find I enjoy putting clips together.

We take cuts in a movie for granted, but I didn't realize there is a whole language and vocabulary of cutting techniques.
