I am just venting a moment. I recently decided to join some more FaceBook groups based on photography, local scenes, lighthouses.. etc. I know we are all in different phases of learning, but day after day of looking at those crooked horizon lines... grrrrr!
Thanks for tolerating.

I agree. The simplest thing to correct and to learn to do. And so many don't seem care that it ruins an image.

I'm guilty of that more times than I like to admit. But it is such an easy fix in PP. Too bad many don't avail themselves of that easy fix.

Wouldn't it have been better to vent on FB about an issue you have with photographers over there.

Everybody on UHH already has straight horizons.

Facebook is about instantly showing where you are and what you are doing. Not photography as a hobby or business. Yes it is great for ideas, or even touting for business but not really the place to find 'the majority' of great works. (unless its a link)

Vent by all means....It may act as a reminder

Yes, it does. I once argued with a photographer that had images in a gallery, that were not straight. He defended it. He was wrong. :)

Oh, I am very grateful for the virtual horizon in my camera, and for post processing tools, to fix the many I screw up.

Ahhh, I confess, I had to look it up. Certainly, I have composed this way, intentionally... but it is obviously done intentionally, for effect, instead of ignorance.

I did consider it, but as I am new there, don't need to get off on the wrong foot.... I rather vent here, where I can be understood (or ignored). :)

Many do use it that way. I know one person who has some decent talent, but shoots with his cell phone, does not edit or delete stuff that didn't really turn out... so while he has some gems, you have to sort through it all to see them.

Thanks for tolerating the vent... I do photography vents in public quite infrequently.

Right. Or some here think they are just so better than others.

Don't argue, Sue. Waste of energy. And the word that describes him is "obstinate."
