I haven't been on here in a few years and periodically things pop up from this group, so I wanted to come back in and say hello. I noticed a few friends still on here from my "buddy list" but since it has been so long, I guess I could be considered an "old/new" person of interest. When I joined I had no clue what I was doing, but to all of you just starting out on this great adventure don't give up and keep practicing. I still work my full time job so my "practice" time is limited, and there were many days that I wanted to give up, but I LOVE using my camera and learning, and as long as I have my camera in my hand, I'm learning something new. My love is pet photography and I'm very blessed to be able to practice on a variety of dogs, all kinds of breeds. I take photos of the students and their dogs at the obedience school where I bring my dogs to class. I don't officially have a studio, but do have a small room dedicated to taking dog portraits at the obedience school and I'm in seventh heaven when I'm there. The lighting in our main training area is still very bad, which makes me work that much harder to get decent photos while the students are working with their dogs, but I have recently purchased strobe lights that I am struggling to learn how to use in my little room. I hope to get to know some of you and maybe connect again with those that are still on here from a long time ago. This is one of the dogs from a recent class photo that is still learning the word "stay" and as you can see, she has a bit more learning (and practice) to do.

Welcome back Debbie, very good capture.
Welcome back to the forum. Cute looking puppy and full of fun I’d bet.

Many thanks everyone. I hope this time I can participate a bit more. I always enjoyed this site, just way to many things going on in my life the past couple of years.
Welcome back to UHH Debbie!
